Lamp Lighting Ceremony Held

Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 10th batch of BSc Nursing student, KMCT College of Nursing (CON) was held at KMCT CON Auditorium on 3rd March, 2018. Forty nine nascent nursing cadets adorned the uniform to commence their righteous job of nursing. The chief guest Mrs. Indulekha M, Kerala state Best Nurse Award winner and Former Nursing Superintendent – GMC Kozhikode- inaugurated the program. While giving the keynote address, Mrs. Indulekha highlighted nursing as the dignified job which provides unavoidable involvement for a patient’s healing. Prof R. Mageshwari, Principal – KMCT CON, presided over the function. Mrs. Indulekha M, passed on the flame to Prof R Mageshwari, Principal – KMCT CON, and to the guests who passed it on to the senior faculty and students. Passing the light represents exchange of information, commitment and solemnity. The nurses’ oath was also administered to the students. Mrs. Rosamma [nursing superintendent- KMCT Medical College, Manassey], Mrs Stephy [Associate professor- KMCT CON], Mrs Dhanya [principal KMCT School of Nursing] were present. Mr Raldin [Assistant professor- KMCT CON] delivered felicitation speech. Prize distribution for the winners of inter-zone sports completion  and college level arts & sports level winners were distributed on the occasion. Mr Akhil [Asst Professor- KMCT CON] delivered the vote of thanks.
