Digital Language Lab to Hone Communication Skills

In an effort to enhance the communication skills of students, KMCT Group opened a Digital English language lab at its National College of Pharmacy [ N.C.P.] campus on Thursday [ 24th Jan,2019]. The high-tech language lab- Orell Digital Language Lab– was inaugurated by “Dr. Ayisha Nasreen [Director – KMCT Group of Institutions]. In her address, Dr Ayisha urged the students to make optimum use of the facility. Dr M.K. Unnikrishnan [Principal- National College of Pharmacy] delivered the presidential address. Dr M.K. Unnikrishnan spoke about the facilities available in the lab. Earlier, Dr. Sujith Varma [Vice Principal] welcomed the audience. A special training session was also held for the teachers. About The Lab NCP lab’s pliability, content based instruction, task focused curriculum and the project centric approach permits implementation of LSRW [Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing] more effectually.. Students’ Benefits   Listen, Speak, Read and Write (LSRW) Activities – The most effective methodology used for learning languages. Compare/Evaluate/Repeat with original/native accents deliver improved results on learning languages. Review lessons in text/audio/video formats provide quicker learning. Alert options for clarifications with the teacher in-private avoiding inhibitions and encourages easy learning for shy students. Highly effective listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are developed with access to advanced material in text, audio and video formats. Effective group discussions and interactions are provided for easier and effortless learning of languages. The features of the lab like eAssignments, Voice comparison tool, X-Play, Roleplay, Netflick, Video Streamer, and Homework are laudable. Currently, the novel English language lab is open to all students of KMCT Group of institutions.
