Lighting up lives through Service
A new batch of nursing students [11TH Batch] at KMCT College of Nursing (CON) participated in a lamp lighting ceremony and took the Nightingale Pledge to serve the sick with commitment and compassion. The lamp lighting ceremony was held at KMCT College of Nursing Auditorium on 31st Jan, 2019. Forty three nascent nursing cadets adorned the uniform to begin their honest job of nursing. The chief guest Mrs. Sreeja PK, [HoD – Nursing Dept- MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute Calicut]- inaugurated the programme. Addressing the student nurses, Mrs. Sreeja PK lauded them for having chosen a decent and at the same time interesting profession. Prof R. Mageshwari, Principal – KMCT CON, presided over the function. Earlier, Mrs Jasna T [Vice Principal- KMCT College of Nursing] welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Sreeja P.K., passed on the flame to Prof. R. Mageshwari, Principal – KMCT C.O.N., and to the guests who passed it on to the senior faculty and students. The nurses’ oath was also administered to the students. Mr. Abdul Sathar [PTA President, KMCT CON], Mrs. Rosamma [Nursing Superintendent [KMCT Medical College Hospital], Mr. Deepak M. [Asst. Professor- K.M.C.T. College of Nursing], Mrs Rakhi Seban [Associate Professor- KMCT College of Nursing], and Mrs. Nasheeda K [Asst. Professor- KMCT College of Nursing] also spoke. Prizes were distributed to winners of arts & sports competitions. Mrs. Meethu Scaria [Asst. Professor- KMCT CON] delivered the vote of thanks.
